ONE4THREESTUDIOS

An independent software studio.

I build careful tools for people who keep things — collectors, players, and anyone whose collection outgrew the spreadsheet it started in.

How I work

Two obsessions, one system.

I have two long-running obsessions — Magic: The Gathering, and system design. Pharos is what happens when they meet: a system I built to manage my own collection, because nothing out there did it properly.

I design everything One4Three makes, start to finish, and the instinct is always the same: find something worth doing properly, then build the system it deserves. The next ones won't be any different — new subjects, same obsession.

Pharos

A collection manager for Magic: The Gathering. Scan cards in seconds, and always know exactly where every one of them physically lives — which deck, which binder, which box on which shelf. Built for collectors whose collections got away from them.

Why I made it

Built for my collection first

I made Pharos for my own collection, because I needed to get my head around what was actually in it. Organizing cards and finding them fast is only the beginning. The harder, better work is drawing the connections between them — the combinations, the sequences, the lines of play sitting in a collection that's too big to hold in your head. Pharos turns your collection into an engine for discovery and deck-building.

The studio

Independent, and small on purpose

One4Three Studios is an independent software company based in Bremerton, Washington. My first product spent five years in design before the build began — months on the scanner alone, then the long work of designing everything downstream of it, from the moment a card enters your collection to the moment it hits the table in a deck.

Small is the point. Nothing ships that I wouldn't put my own name on.

What I care about

Software that respects the work you've already done. A collection represents years of attention, money, and memory — the tools around it should treat that seriously, keep an honest record, and never lose your place.

I'd rather build one thing that genuinely holds up than several that nearly do. Nothing here ships to fill a release calendar.
